Increase Participation in Fire Assessments

Encourage residents to sign up for a low-cost fire assessment through the fire district

Email to community with links to url to sign up

Common Area Fire Reduction

Increase awareness of the impact of combustible materials along roadsides and other common areas.

“Pitch in to help our community stay safe”

Work days:

Organize and send out notices to the community for one work day in 2026 – pick an area to work on.

Organize community chipping effort and communicate via email and posted flyers (in public areas) to the community (Specifics TBD.)

Cistern Compliance and Signage

Increase awareness around requirements for cistern upkeep, maintenance, and markings

Education and Outreach:

Email information to homeowners with cisterns on their property

Increase Evacuation Preparedness

Increase awareness around evacuation routes, go-bags, and personal evacuation plans.

In person meeting to walk through education with the community with a focus on new residents.

Continue to encourage residents to sign up for a low-cost fire assessment through the fire district as needed.  

Outreach to community with links to url to sign up with targeted emphasis on new residents and those that have not participated in the past.

Increase Evacuation Preparedness

Continue to increase awareness around evacuation routes, go-bags, and personal evacuation plans with an emphasis on both personal and community safety.

In person meeting to walk through education with the community with a focus on new residents.
